A short spell of summer weather and so a trip out to Nash Point - Nash Point is quite a distinct headland, but not really the most dramatic bit of the coastline.
This is the view of Nash Point from just beside the car park -
Between the road / carpark and Nash Point there is a quite a big drop down to virtually sea level and a very stoney and rocky beach - down at the back of the beach looking up at Nash Point - this view fairly shows of the layers of sandstone that all these cliffs are made of -
The west side of Nash Point is distinctly lacking in drama and barely worth a picture - but here it is anyway -
Up on top of Nash Point it is very exposed and there are good views in both directions - this is looking eastwards along the coast, with the two lighthouses showing nicely - the lighthouses aren`t right at the point, they are round the corner a bit.
Visible but not so obvious is the low white building with the huge black fog horns on the roof.
Shame about all the campervans somewhat destroying the ambience and the view.
But the view looking westwards from the top of Nash Point is amazing - miles of the fabulous sandstone cliffs that make up this part of the coastline - and maybe worth noting that this was close to high tide right in the middle of Neaps - usually that long stoney beach is covered at high tide -
