The weather stayed fine for the rest of the day, and by late afternoon I was up on Connel Bridge again - with much better views than on my last visit - and it is worth noting that during the recent updating of Connel Bridge they added a walkway along the outside of the east side of the bridge - it is magic, with a super outlook out over the Falls of Lora and up Glen Etive, and with good views of many of the mountains out to the east.
So this is what it looks like - this is the south end of the walkway, looking north -
This is looking eastwards up Glen Etive with what would be a good view of Ben Cruachan - if it wasn`t for the cloud -
Round a bit to the left and a good view of Beinn Bhreac -
And further round to the left - almost due north of the bridge - is Beinn Lora -
About an hour or so later - and by now it was well into dusk - I went for another wander across the bridge - and there was an unknown surfer in a composite surf kayak on the first wave over the reef - it was a very good bit of surfing on a classic wave well into a flood tide a couple of days before Springs -
