After bringing some wild weather, Storm Ciarán is heading away across the North Sea - leaving this part of Wales with a cold, clear but still windy day.
Looking along the pier with the cliffs of the South Glamorgan coast in the background - it was pretty close to low tide so the sea was quite far out, but there were still waves big enough to climb up the side of the pier -
A while later and the cold clear weather was producing some quite hard lighting effects as the sun was starting to head down to sunset - looking out across the Bristol Channel -
This was just about the end of the lighting effects, soon after this the sun dropped down behind the cloud mass and was gone.
