Quite a good day weatherwise, but by evening a massive low pressure that was sitting off to the west of the UK was pushing a gradually thickening layer of cloud over the area, and it produced some quite eerie looking lighting.
Interestingly, the word eerie is actually rather appropriate in this case, as this eerie lighting was a forecast of some horrendous weather that blasted this part of the country for the next couple of days as the low pressure headed up and around the north of Scotland.
