A thin layer of high altitude cloud was producing some lovely diffuse lighting, and as it turned out, there was also superb visibility - the view across to Mull was superb -
An excellent view across to the Corbetts on Kingairloch -
The Munros along from Ballachulish were I think about the clearest I have ever seen them, you could almost see the individual stones -
A very clear view up to the outer end of Loch Etive and the Connel Bridge -
Cruachan looking superb, the two peaks were very distinct -
Heading back, and a view that I don`t think I have seen before - looking south down the coast, and Scarba is quite clear - that`s the distinct hill in the middle distance, just left of centre in the photo.
Beyond Scarba a lower sort of plateau which I presume is the northern end of Jura, and away at the back, right in the centre of the photo, you can see a distinct peak of another mountain - and I am pretty certain that it is one of the Paps of Jura - that`s some distance down the coast, and testament about how good the visibility was, and as I say - I think that is a first, I don`t think I have seen that before -
Almost back, and another good view across to Mull to end the sequence of pictures from a very photogenic evening -
