Storm Brendan brought some wild weather all day, with wind, rain, and just to add to it, a very high high tide - so lots of flooding, especially along many of the low lying coastal roads.
It was very unexpected when in the late afternoon suddenly there was a change in the weather and the cloud rolled back and left clear sky - just as the sun was setting.
So we got quite an intense sunset, with the trailing edge of the cloud being lit up by the setting sun - this was in its early stages -
The colouring lasted for quite a while, giving me enough time to shoot down the road to the beach for a better view - and a huge area of the sky lit up in a bright orange - this is only part of it, the camera lens was as wide as it would go, but could only capture part of it -
A few minutes later, and the orange is starting to break up -
