A very cold night brought what I think was the first frost of the year, and it was a fair old frost, with white roofs and white lawns.
It also brought a bit of a sunrise, not the most spectacular of sunrises, but good to see a bit of colour all the same - pity there is a hill in the way - what the picture doesn`t show is just how wide the colouring was -
Curiously, out to the west it was very grey and cloudy - this was about an hour later, and an interesting layer of cloud around the 1000 foot mark.
There must have been some kind of temperature inversion with warmer air rising off the sea, the lighthouse on Eilean Musdile seemed to be floating above the surface of the sea -
