out and about - 2019

24 September 2019 .............. Up above Barcaldine

Away up the cycle tracks in the miles of forest above Barcaldine - after a lot of climbing up hill after hill through non stop trees - at long last a bit of a view point, looking away across to the east over to Ben Cruachan, which kindly lifted its hat just long enough for me to take a couple of pictures -

It was a still a bit brighter away up to the north, but what was of more immediate interest was the heavy shower that came between where I was, and where I was going back to -

If you are ever heading up these cycle tracks do be aware that you will be cycling through endless trees, there are no signs or signposts anywhere, and there are several junctions and tracks going off in various directions - the potential for getting lost is quite high - at the very least a map is essential, add a compass and/or GPS for extra assistance.
