A slow moving high pressure brought blue sky and sunshine to most of the country, and some almost record September temperatures to parts of north Wales.
Which must have been nice for them - sad to say we had nearly a week of rain, cloud, mist - and not a drop of sunshine.
The west coast of Scotland finally caught up with the rest of the country and had a day of sunshine for a change, just as the high pressure was starting to move away.
A good while after a not very interesting sunset, and some super lighting looking over the north end of Kerera to the mountains on Mull nicely silhouetted against the afterglow from the sunset -
