After what was possibly the hottest August day ever, in the evening a very cold south wind got up, and brought with it a great mass of low cloud - even the hills on Kerrera disappeared into the cloud.
However it also brought some interesting lighting looking out across the Firth of Lorne to Dùn da Ghaoithe on Mull, with the big bank of low cloud hiding all the lower parts of Mull, just the mountain tops visible above the cloud, and a diffuse sun still trying to shine.
