A rather wet and grey day for a walk over the hills to the north of Ganavan, and so no wide stunning views - however some shafts of sunlight mixed up with the showers produced some good effects.
The lighthouse on Eilean Musdile picking up a shaft of sunlight against the backdrop of the heavy grey clouds sitting over the mountains on Mull -
Another shaft of sunlight lighting up the twin peninsulas of Rubha Fion-àird and Rubha Garbh-àird against the backdrop of a very grey looking Kingairloch.
One of the things that I noticed was that there was quite a distinct tiderace off the end of Rubha Garbh-àird - it isn`t something that I have seen before, and I didn`t know that you get one there.
Almost a good view up to the northeast, with sunshine in the foreground but heavy clouds sitting over the mountains at the back - Cruachan hiding away on the right, looking away up Loch Etive right in the middle, and Dunstaffnage Castle sneaking in on the left -
Heading back along the tops now, and a shower is producing an interesting lighting effect down to the south -
A bit later on, and the shower has moved up the Firth of Lorne -
A nice end to the afternoon, with a bit of a sunset - I can`t work it out from the map whether the hills in the middle of the picture are the north end of Kerrera or Maiden Island - but it is still nice to see a bit of a sunset -
