Another cold and clear day, and the late afternoon produced some interesting lighting effects - first of all, a rather hard and dramatic effect with the sun behind a dense block of cloud.
Interesting to see that someone posted a very similar photograph on Twitter that was taken from Aberavon Beach on the South Wales coast - a bit strange to see such similar lighting effects in places that are a couple of hundred miles apart.
By the time I was down beside the sea, the sun was well hidden behind a massive block of cloud that was producing a line of heavy showers away out to sea.
However the south end of the Lleyn Peninsula was still clear, and we got another interesting lighting effect where the land seems to float above the water - I have no idea what causes this effect, I have seen it before from the exact same place, but I don`t recall ever seeing it anywhere else - a Lleyn Peninsula special effect -
