15 December 2017 .............. Not really a sunset
Not really a sunset, but the end of the day as the sun made a brief appearance below the cloud just as it dropped below the horizon.
An interesting thought is that it could be the earliest sunset of the the year - the earliest sunset doesn`t occur on the 22nd December, which is the shortest day - it actually occurs a week or so before it, and the afternoons will now be getting longer, whilst the sunrise gets later and later until well into January.
I think it is something to do with the earth`s axis being squint, but I don`t really know much about it.
