After the super weather of the day before, today was dominated by an almost complete thick grey cloud cover.
However it wasn`t all bad, because it brought some amazing visibility - and some super shafts of sunlight out beyond St Cwyfan`s -
Round to the south, and the mountains on the Lleyn Peninsula were looking as good as ever - in fact they were a bit better than usual, because, unusually, you could see them in three dimensions - normally you only see them in two dimensions, but today you could see which mountains were at the front, and which mountains were further back -
Even more unusually, Snowdon made a guest appearance - it seems to spend an awful lot of its life hidden in a cloudy mantle, so it was nice to see it for a change -
The shafts of sunlight went on and on - here is a bit of a closer view - I am not sure if it is what might be considered a good photograph, but it is quite dramatic -
I was up there for a good 40 minutes, and was getting colder and colder, as the wind was showing no mercy, so this was one of the last pictures I took before I headed away - I had to go anyway, otherwise I wouldn`t have got back before it got dark.
I know I had to go, but I wish I could have stayed a bit longer - when I was about fifteen minutes back along the road, I got a glimpse or two of what was some even more intense lighting and stronger shafts of light, as it turned towards the sunset time - however I wasn`t anywhere I could get a picture of it happening.
So that was a bit of a shame.
