The early part of the evening, and a combination of some quite strong backlighting and very good visibility meant that Ynysoedd Gwylanod was strongly silhouetted against the lighter sky and a solid looking sea - and just look at how hard the line of the horizon is, you`d think it was drawn with a graphics package -
Quite a bit later on, and I am away up the back above Rhosneigr and Llanfaelog - perhaps not the most dramatic of sunsets behind Holyhead Mountain, but it is always nice to see a bit of colour -
However the best view of the evening was a bit round to the left looking out over the top of Ynysoedd Gwylanod at a super band of colour - and over to the left of the picture you can see the Wicklow mountains on Ireland - that`s only the second time I have seen them.
The first time I saw them I was up above South Stack, I didn`t know that they could be seen from here, so that`s a bit of a first.
And even though the horizon from up here is a lot further away than it is from down beside the sea in Rhosneigr, it is still an incredibly sharp line.
