A beautiful evening, and I found a smashing view point down by Aberffraw - it was very hazy, so I didn`t get the benefit of it, but I could just make out the whole of the Carneddau, the Glyders, the Snowdon block, the Nantlle Ridge, and most of the Lleyn Peninsula.
So on a day with good visibility it would be a smashing view point.
I could easily see down to Porth Cwyfan and Porth China, and also St Cwyfan`s Church - it has quite a history, dating back to the 12th century.
It was originally built on a peninsula, but the sea has eaten away much of it, so it is now on an island called Cribinau.
It is still used today, and I think it is part of the Church in Wales.
Away in the other direction, and there was a good view across Aberffraw Bay to the headland Dinas Bâch, and beyond it Pen-y-parc.
Sad to see that from the OS map, it looks like most of that peninsula is a no-go area - the coastal path goes away inland, and bypasses it altogether.
Is this another access fail for Wales.
Here is a closer view of the headland Dinas Bâch - and beyond it you can see two white dots. I wonder if they are the two lighthouses on Llanddwyn Island - certainly from the map they are in exactly the right direction, so they could be the lighthouses.
It was rather hazy, but I don`t like to miss out on the chance of a picture of Yr Eifl, so here it is, along with Bwlch Mawr, Gyrn Goch, and Gyrn Ddu.
Later on and I am back in Rhosneigr in time to see the sunset. A good evening out.
