Another grey day - then at tea time it suddenly changed - the cloud disappeared, the sun came out and it was super for a few hours.
Up on a high spot on the back roads above Aberffraw, and a super view across to Snowdon catching the evening sunshine -
The Nantlle Ridge was looking good as well -
The Glyders were looking rather dark and sombre, and the Carneddau had a lot of cloud along the east end of them, so not very photogenic either.
A bit later on and I am on another high spot, and getting a good view across to Bwlch Mawr, Gyrn Ddu, and Yr Eifl. I could also just see right down the Lleyn Peninsula as far as Bardsey Island, but it was a fair bit more hazy down there, and it wasn`t a good view of them.
I still haven`t found somewhere around this area from where I can see the whole of the Lleyn Peninsula - it is a bit annoying, there must be a hilltop somewhere that provides that sort of view, and which has a right of way over it. The access rights in Wales are still in the dark ages, and despite lots of consultations, the Welsh government doesn`t seem to want to do anything about.
Time to start heading back, and by the time I had climbed away up the hill above Aberffraw, down the otherside, along past Barclodiad y Gawres, up and over the next hill, and down the other side, somewhere along at the back of the dunes at Tywyn Fferam there was a good sunset out beyond Ynysoedd Gwylanod and the Rhoscolyn Beacon.
