Another visit to Loch Turret, rather grey this morning, with a lot of cloud around, and just the odd interval of sunshine lighting up the hills.
Along at the far end of the dam, and a wider view of Loch Turret.
Away in the opposite direction the Ochils had an interesting line of cloud right along them.
At the far end of the dam I came across this - a huge mass of frog spawn - it is hard to believe that one frog produced all that spawn, there was close on half a square metre of it. Do frogs have group spawns ?
I don`t think many of the tadpoles will survive, it is only a big puddle, a decent dry spell and it will be gone.
I headed along the track above the loch, and there are quite a few wet bits on it, and a fair bit more frog spawn, but in much smaller batches.
I have no idea of its significance, but one or two of these smaller batches had white blobs in them.
Heading back across the dam and a good view of Ben Chonzie, still with a few patches of snow on it.
Rather strangely, although it was still quite bright with all the tops clear around Loch Turret, the Ochils had now dissappeared into the cloud.
Finally, a last look up Loch Turret - for what could be the last time ever.
Farewell Loch Turret !
