Well it turned out to be quite a good sunset - but it was also a bit of a frustrating trip.
I decided to head along to Barclodiad y Gawres to watch the sunset - it seemed a good idea at the time - and once up on the view point, it was quite a good view out to the setting sun.
I sat there for a while, and soon I had to evacuate - the east wind was on my back, and being elevated up on top of the chambered cairn, I was getting the full force of it, and it was taking no prisoners, it was freezing !
So I dropped down a bit off the top of the chambered cairn, and sat lower down out of the wind.
Only trouble was, every flying beastie in Anglesey had the same idea, and within seconds I was surrounded by man eating beasties that fancied me for supper.
I don`t know what they were, they weren`t midges, they were big and black - and very hungry !
So I had to go back up onto the top of the chambered cairn again, and froze there for a while, as the sun started to set down below the cloud.
I don`t know why this second picture is so much bluer than the first one - did the colour actually change, or was it the camera reacting to a flare or something. I really don`t know.
The sunset seemed to have run its course, and I was freezing to death, so I headed away, and just as I got to Llanfaelog the sky suddenly lit up yellow and pink and orange.
So here it is, looking over Rhosneigr - brilliant colours, but a real shame I wasn`t still looking out over the sea.
After taking this picture, I backtracked a bit to another place with a slightly better view, and watched this bit of the sunset for probably another ten minutes or so, before it faded away.
