A better sunset this evening, which lasted a lot longer than the one on the previous day, with sometimes rather dark but strong colouring.
Round a bit, to include Rhoscolyn Beacon -
It was quite a wide spread of colour, this is away round in the other direction.
The sun almost down to the horizon now - and the colour goes on.
A closer view of the islands around Rhoscolyn Beacon - which I have now discovered - are called Ynysoedd Gwylanod. One of the little titbits of information in the book Welsh Sea Kayaking
What an amazing colour the sea is.
A wee bit later, and the sun has dropped below the horizon now, but still the show goes on.
You might have noticed some far off mountains in one of the photos above - here is a closer view - I guess it is Ireland, and I think that they are the Wicklow Mountains just to the south of Dublin.
The highest peak that you can see will I think be Lugnaquilla - at 925 metres, or 3035 feet, it is one of the Irish Munros.
I didn`t even know that Ireland had Munros, but it does, either 13 or 14 of them, depending on which webpage you look at.
Lugnaquilla is number 13. and is the only Munro up the east side of Ireland. So there you go !
And just look at the colour of the sea again - amazing.
The sun is well down now, but still the colour goes on -
Starting to fade now, but what a super sunset it had been.
