out and about - 2017
12 February 2017 ............ Penmaen Mawr again
I have confused myself even more now, I went raking through my picture archive and found a couple of pictures that I took back in 2013 - so I have digitally extracted from them the two views of Penmaen Mawr that are shown below - they aren`t good pictures, I have no idea what cameras I was using, but they tell a different tale again.
They were taken from roughly midway between Beaumaris and Penmon.
The problem is that they appear to show that the nipple thing that I was advised was the original highest point of Penmaen Mawr isn`t on the highest part of Penmaen Mawr as it is now, so can`t have been the original highest point.
Oh dear !
Being 400 miles away I can`t nip along the road and have another look, I`ll just have to stay confused for a bit longer.
