Between Crieff and Comrie there is a section of the river Earn that has a rather good track right alongside the river - during the summer it is in deep shade the whole time because of the huge beech trees that are all along the track.
However now that most of the leaves are off the trees, it is much more open and light, and around midday today the diffuse sunshine was lighting it up rather nicely.
This is a sequence of photographs as I headed along the track up river.
Beyond the section of track in the last photograph, the track turns up to the right, becomes a much more muddy affair, and never sees the river again.
