The thick grey cloud of uncertainty that covered Scotland earlier in the day and lit up so intensely at sunset continued on into the evening, and obscured the supermoon that has received so much recent press coverage.
However just about 10.30 GMT, I looked out and the cloud had thinned a bit, and the moon was visible. I can`t say that it looked any different to any other full moon, but here is my attempt to record the supermoon for posterity - I expect it will join the loads of other photographic fails of the supermoon.
Never mind, we only have to wait until 2034 for the next one.
