out and about - 2016
22 August 2016 ............ A superb sunset
I was deeply engrossed in something, and I just happened to look out the kitchen window, and the whole sky was bright orange.
So I shot upstairs and grabbed this from out of the bedroom window.
Well it was obvious I couldn`t see half of what was going on, so I raced round to my local recycling centre to see the sunset in all its glory - my local recycling centre isn`t half as good as Ardrossan harbour for watching sunsets, but it is a lot nearer !
I think that by the time I got there the sunset was well through, but there was still a huge area of intense red, so I took all these pictures as it quite quickly changed - somewhat unusually, the red didn`t fade away, what happened was that the area that was lit up got smaller and smaller, until there was little red area left, but what was there was still intensely coloured.
It was magic.
