15 August 2016 ............ A fabulous sunset

A fabulous sunset this evening - here is the start of it, looking up beyond Ardrossan to Arran in the distance. Taken from Saltcoats.

A bit of time has passed, as I have moved from Salcoats down the coast to Ardeer, so now this is looking out over Saltcoats, and again, with Arran in the distance.

Then it was gone, and I thought that this would be the end.

Nice cloud formations over the Arran mountains -

But then the sun away down below the horizon began to light up the very high altitude feathery clouds.

And then it all burst into the most intense colouring -

As it always does, the colour eventually faded away, but Arran still had a good patch of colour overhead -

It was a brilliant sunset, and I wasn`t the only one to be out enjoying it - a solitary fisherman on the line of rocks was enjoying it as well.
