Around Ardrossan again, and another sunlit view of the granite balls - maybe the pc brigade would prefer the name granite spheres.

The sunshine and clouds were combining to highlight some of the shapes of the mountains on Arran, although it is a pity that they were wearing a sun hat.
Looking away up the coast to the north -
It was up the coast to the north that I then headed, there is a cycle path that goes away up the coast - I don`t know how far it goes, I did a bit of it, then dropped down onto the beach for the inevitable teabreak.
This is looking across to a low flat island to the north of Ardrossan harbour called Horse Isle - it is now a nature reserve, and in the past has collected quite a few ship wrecks.
The triangular thing is a stone beacon, and was erected to ward off shipping.
