Quite a good sunset this evening, though I don`t think it makes into the sunset hall of fame.
Here it is, just after the sun has set, viewed over the roof tops by hanging out an upstairs window.
Then I went round to say hello to the local recycling centre again, for a few more shots of the later stages of the sunset.
Whilst I was there watching it slowly fade, I was wondering why it is that when you are over on the west coast the sunsets have got a lot more red in them, and it doesn`t matter whether it is Wales or Scotland, the west coasts of both of them have good sunsets.
Is it some effect from the sea ?
I believe that atmospheric dust can produce red sunsets, but you wouldn`t expect more dust in the atmosphere over the sea than over the land.
Finally, right at the end, a bit of red away in the distance - if I had been 60 miles further west, would it have been a classic west coast sunset ?
Or would it have been classic west coast rain, with no sunset ?
