Another greyish day, but the weather was better than forecast, and in the middle of the day I was up by the radio tower above Oban, and there was quite a good view down the Sound of Mull.
The lighthouse on Eilean Musdile was somehow catching the sun, and standing out like a beacon.
I stayed up there for a while, and eventually the cloud just about lifted off Dun da Ghaoithe
Later in the day, and I`m up on the hills above Ganavan, and there is some fascinating lighting in the clouds over the northeast corner of Mull.
The two corbetts on Kingairloch - Fuar Bheinn and Creach Bheinn - were almost catching the sun.
Also catching the sun were the two munros that lie to the south of Ballachulish - Sgorr Dhonuill and Sgorr Dhearg - and so was Fraochaidh - a corbett that lies to the north of Glen Creran. All the mountains round to the east were very grey, and some of them were in cloud. On this occasion west was best.
