Another day of big seas - in the morning there was a strong southeast wind, and it was blowing across a strong ebb tide, so it was a very lumpy sea - and very unusually, there weren`t any surfers out in Rest Bay, it was I guess just the wrong kind of sea.
However there were some quite good explosions onto the rocks.
In the evening the sea wasn`t so quite so lumpy, but there were bigger waves attacking the sea wall with considerable gusto.
Over on the right of these pictures you can just see a line of breakers away out to sea - they are the waves breaking onto Tusker Rock - you don`t normally see waves breaking onto Tusker Rock at this tide height, so it gives you some idea of the size of the waves.
Here is a rather extreme example of a haystack, where a wave reflected off the sea wall crashes into the next wave coming in - quite dramatic.
