The sea does rather create an ambiance which brings out the camera - this morning there was a coastguard helicopter out a bit offshore, flying along very slowly a wee bit above the sea.
Eventually I sussed that what it was doing was flying at a constant height at the same speed as the quite fast ebb tide, so it had a fixed position over the sea. I guess that it would be an essential part of rescuing someone in the water in a tidal current. Could be quite tricky I guess, good to see them out training again.
I didn`t dare go near the seafront during the day - a sunny afternoon on a Bank Holiday - I stayed away !
However by evening things calm down a bit, so I was out again, and the sea was surprisingly chunky, with a significant short period swell. There wasn`t much wind, so it was I presume a foretaste of the weather that is forecast for tomorrow.
Then to end the day, a nice sunset.
