Just before Christmas I had a trip up to Oban, and whilst I was there I spent a couple of afternoons with my sea kayak at the Falls of Lora.
It was quite stormy weather all the time I was in Oban, and on one of the afternoons a massive shower / storm swept in from the west, and attacked all the hills just to the south of Loch Etive.
I was just on the edge of it, and although I didn`t get the heaviest of the rain, the wind was horrendous, and I had to hang on for dear life to a steel spike sticking out of the stonework of one of the bridge piers.
As the storm passed away to the east, a fabulous double rainbow formed over North Connel.
