A few views of some mountains that were looking good, taken on my way down towards Dolgellau.
First off, a view of some of the Moelwynion - a range of mountains lying to the west of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The three peaks are - I think - Cnicht, Moelwyn Mawr, and the very rugged Moelwyn Bach on the right.
A bit round to the left, and I could just see part of the Snowdon block over the side of a nearer rocky crag. This photo was taken with a long focus lens, as they were quite far away.
Snowdon is of course the highest peak, and on the right is - I think - or as far as I can work out - Y Lliwedd, the ridge that runs down to the southeast from Snowdon.
I think that Crib Goch is just visible, between Snowdon and Y Lliwedd.
A bit further south, and to the east of Harlech, there is a line of quite chunky mountains known as the Rhinogydd that seem to spend a lot of time in the clouds, I haven`t seen them very often. However today they were looking good.
I am not sure about this, but I think the summits in the photo are Y Llethr, Rhinog Fach, and Rhinog Fawr - the one on the right may be Craig Wion. However I don`t know much about them, I am trying to work things out from the map.
I didn`t get a picture of Cadair Idris - it was looking rather grey, and surprisingly, it had cloud hovering around its peaks - the only cloud that I saw in the whole of Snowdonia.
