After a long period of gloomy weather, and three days of almost continual rain, finally a break, and just enough time to get out for an hour before it got dark.
Heavy grey cloud down to just a few hundred feet was still completely blocking out any view of the mountains of Snowdonia, however it was a bit clearer looking down the Lleyn Peninsula, with surprisingly good visibility - Yr Eifl still had its head in the clouds, but the headlands beyond it were quite clear - Penrhyn Glas with its superb cliffs, then Penrhyn Bodeilas, and then Trwyn Porth Dinllaen sticking out to the right.
Away to the back behind Trwyn Porth Dinllaen I think we are also seeing Mynydd Anelog at 192 metres - and that is right down at the bottom of the Lleyn Peninsula.
It may not be the most dramatic of pictures, but it was just great to be out for a while with a view and some wind - after days of muggy windless dampness, three days of rain, and an infinite number of midges !
