After a wet start to the day, a few hours of sunshine in the late afternoon provided a good opportunity for a walk along the seafront and the beach at Penmaenmawr - it was all looking rather good, and quite photogenic.
Looking right along the beach towards Great Orme, Llandudno, and Penmaen Bach.
Looking out across the sea to Penmon and Puffin Island -
Part of the way along the prom, and a better view of Great Orme, and you can see the geological structure of Great Orme from the exposed layers of rock.
Further along the beach now, and a closer view of Penmaen Bach shows off the quite extensive scree slopes.
A rather good cloud formation beyond Foel Lus - this sort of cloud formation has probably got a name, but I have no idea what it is.
Looking back along the beach to Penmaen Mawr - it looks as if that skyline is going to dissappear soon as the two quarries eat away the hillside just below the summits.
By the time I got home the cloud was coming over again, and the next batch of rain wasn`t far behind.
The joys of summer !
