A dusting of snow right down to just about sea level last night, and later in the afternoon some breaks in the cloud cover allowed some patches of sunlight to light up some of the hills.
The Carneddau were very white - Yr Elen and Carnedd Llewelyn are the summits on the left, Carnedd Dafydd is the summit on the right.
The Glyders and Snowdon weren`t just so white, but looking good in the patchy sunshine - actually, to more accurate, the summit on the right is Garnedd Ugain - Snowdon itself is hidden in the cloud.
A bit later on, and the cloud cover has closed over again - however quite an interesting picture of Craig Cwm Silyn seen over the top of Caernarfon - the light snow cover rather highlights the sharp edge of Craig y Ogof.
Also of interest - at least to me, anyway - is the snow highlighting the gully that bisects Craig y Ogof - I saw it a while ago when I was on my way up Craig Cwm Silyn, and wondered if it would be a route up - it looked quite steep when seen from the edge of the cwm, but in this picture it doesn`t look to be particularily steep.
