There was a rather good sunrise over the Glyders and Snowdon this morning, it lasted for quite a long time, slowly evolving.
Despite the old warning that " a red sky at night is a shepherd`s delight, a red sky in the morning is a shepherd`s warning ", it went on to be a very good day for the western half of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula - the Glyders were the line of demarcation - to the east the Carneddau were in cloud, to the west, Snowdon, the Eifionydd, and right down the Lleyn Peninsula were completely clear all day.
Curiously, Tryfan had cloud drifting around it for most of the day, but Glyder Fawr was mostly clear.
