out and about - 2013

04 February 2013 .............. Cemlyn in a gale

This wind goes on and on. I cycled up to Cemlyn today to look at the sea - Cemlyn Point is included in the coastal path, and is a good place to start a walk along the coast to Carmel Head.

The sea was quite wild - Cemlyn is a great place because the point is right out into the sea, so it catches everything that`s going, and it has a wonderful feeling of exposure. Unlike a high headland where you are high above the sea, it`s very low, so you are close to the water and the waves, and the tidal currents are right in front of you.

Every now and then the Harry Furlough`s Rocks would catch a big wave and the sea would explode over them.

After several attempts, I finally managed to catch a big one.
