Some not bad surfing at the Swellies this evening - not the best I have ever had, and not the worst - I`ll give it 5 out of 10.
The wave was rather variable, to begin with it was okay to deal with, because it changed relatively slowly, so I could slide along the wave to catch the most suitable bit.
It got a bit harder to deal with later on, and by the time I gave up, the wave was going from a deep hole to not a lot, then to a super wave about 8 to 10 metres wide - if you could catch it, then you got a bit of a surf.
So I got some good surfing, but not the long sessions like last time - but it was worth the trip down.
A blast of some super lighting when I was heading up through the Swellies at the start of the evening to get to the Cardinal Marker -
Heading away now, just before landing in the twilight - a classic view of the Menai Bridge -
