Yet another grey day, a slightly higher high tide level, but a lot more water going through.
As usual, I headed down the middle to see if there was a wave I could catch out in the middle - and whoopee - a superb looking wave.
It may have looked good, but I got washed through it backwards so fast that there was no possibility of even beginning to surf it.
Then I found to my cost that the white water below it was extremely unfriendly - and I got somewhat minced - I did manage to stay in my boat so didn`t get to try out my self rescue skills - but it was two capsizes later before I escaped its clutches.
It was a big wave beside the north pier, and only surfable with difficulty, so not as good as the previous evening - so a not very productive and rather wetting visit.
