Another trip to the Falls of Lora to catch a 3.9 metre flood tide.
The wave beside the north pier was just the same as it has been all summer - long and green - easy to get on, but difficult to stay on it.
However the highlight of the evening was out in the middle - I couldn`t catch the first wave, it was just too flat, but I caught the second wave, and stayed on it for quite a while.
I can`t say for how long - maybe ten seconds - maybe twenty seconds - maybe thirty seconds. When you catch a wave like that that is so elusive, time ceases to have any meaning. Every second on the wave seems like a lifetime. The rest of the world doesn`t exist.
Eventually I lost it, went round again, and caught it again, but not for so long.
Round again, but it was gone.
But while it lasted - fabulous !
