15 February 2019 ................ Moel Eilio

Up on Moel Eilio for a change, with blue sky and sunshine - but there was so much haze and ultraviolet light that it wasn`t good for pictures.

Good views from up on Moel Eilio, very different from what I am more used to from Elidir Fawr - this is looking across to most of the Glyders - Elidir Fawr on the left, Y Garn in the middle, and Glyder Fawr on the right, with the Carneddau and Tryfan at the back -

 the Glyders

A closer view of Elidir Fawr to show the size of the Llanberis slate quarry - it is huge, and you can`t even see the huge hole in the middle of it - I wonder if they would be allowed to do that to a mountain nowadays -

On Moel Eilio you get a good view across to Snowdon, but you are really too close to it to get a decent photograph that works - looking along part of the ridge that connects Moel Eilio with Snowdon - the nearest rounded summit is Foel Goch, the intermediate summit with just a touch of snow on it is Moel Cynghorion, with Snowdon at the back -
