A cold and clear day up on Elidir Fawr - the late afternoon sunshine lighting up the Carneddau rather nicely -
The low angle of the sun was fairly lighting up Y Garn, but the further away tops of the Glyders were barely catching the sun -
A closer view of Tryfan -
Snowdon rather sulking in its own shadow -
Not a good view looking down to the south, the sun was lighting up the haze, so a lot of glare - even Yr Eifl was barely visible -
The days are still short, so not much time to hang around, although I did enjoy my tea and custard doughnut.
Unfortunately once I was away from the summit I couldn`t see the sun at all, and it looked as if I was missing a good sunset.
By the time I was away back down at the end of the public road, which is the first place I could really see it, the sunset was just about over - but there was just enough colour left to justify a picture -
The one downside of the day was that I proved beyond any shadow of doubt that I can`t cycle up the hill to the dam - and like last time, I spent more time walking than cycling.
I`ve seen people do it and yes I envy them, but it is beyond my feeble muscle power.
But the run back down - I could certainly do that bit - wheeeeeee !
