The weather was a bit uncertain - after a fabulous sunrise, I had watched the clouds building up firstly over the mountains down the Lleyn Peninsula, and then over the mountains in Snowdonia.
However Elidir Fawr was still clear, and it often happens that Elidir Fawr is one of the last mountains to get covered in cloud - so I took a gamble, and headed off.
I took the quickest route up Elidir Fawr and I got there before the cloud arrived, which was good - the Carneddau were just catching the cloud -
Glyder Fâch and Glyder Fawr were well hidden, but Y Garn and Tryfan were still just escaping the cloud.
There was so much cloud on Snowdon that the photograph I took shows nothing but grey and gloom - so it isn`t worth showing.
I headed away back down, and round the long ridge of Mynydd Perfedd and Carnedd Filiast - by the time I got to Carnedd Filiast the cloud was down on Elidir Fawr as well - so I guess my timing and route planning worked out well.
