A gorgeous morning - and I wasn`t going to miss the opportunity of a quick trip up to Corn Du and Pen y Fan before heading down to Swansea by lunchtime.
The track up seems to go on and on, perhaps it is because it is somewhat featureless and very manmade - Corn Du just seems to get bigger and bigger, but never ever any nearer.
Then suddenly you are on the coll, and the world instantly opens up - looking up to Pen y Fan and across to Cribyn.
Round to the right, and the long ridge of Craig Gwaun Taf and Graig Fan Ddu looks quite inviting -
However not today, and a quick ascent up to Corn Du - looking across to Pen y Fan. and the long north ridge that heads down towards Brecon.
Round a bit to the right, and looking past Pen y Fan to Cribyn -
No time to waste, and over on Pen y Fan now, looking back to Corn Du -
Looking down on Cribyn, before heading back down and the rest of the day.
